Poetry

Obviously there are a lot of unposted poems in this series; some are too personal to me or my wife, some too badly written, and the entirety of first series is just too easily recognized.

001 abdomen was a spontaneously written poem.

004 worried grew from a comment my wife made about how worried I always was about the living of love. My response was that when you have something to worry about, it can help strike the right balance and find the right direction for emotional growth.

008 no proof but cheekily suggests the proof of love is its making.

017 giving and getting: how making her happy makes me feel more 'me'.

023 sworn: my response to that perennially poor idea of making a contract out of one's love and marriage.

025 need was an attempt to explain to my wife why I like to make her happy, why I like her 'push back', why I like to participate in the process of her making herself happy.

026 math suggests if we just knew the facts about love without ever having learned them, we wouldn’t know love's worth, wouldn’t attach to those facts the significant value that we do.

o28 human her is about why I love her passion and desire.
